Position Paper: Feature Interaction in Composed Systems

Feature interaction is nothing new and not limited to computer science. The problem of undesirable feature interaction (feature interaction problem) has already been investigated in the telecommuni- cation domain. Our goal is the investigation of fea- ture interaction in component-based systems be- yond telecommunication. The position paper out- lines terminology definitions. It proposes a clas- sification to compare different types of feature in- teraction.
