66 Quantitative Cytokine and Cytokine Receptors Profiling with Evidence Biochip Arrays

Evidence biochip technology enables determination of multiple analytes with a single sample. Thereby, generating a multi-maker profiling per sample, which can provide more information in the complex interacting cytokine network than single-analyte measurements. Moreover, the miniaturized immunoassays employed with this technology reduce the consumption of sample/reagent and increase the result output with implications in the cost-effectiveness of the tests. This report shows the application to the simultaneous measurement of twenty-two soluble cytokines and five cytokine related markers using different biochip arrays on the semi-automated analyser Evidence Investigator.(TM) This technology represents a useful tool for application in clinical research settings.
