Cu(OTf)2/trisoxazoline catalyzed asymmetric Friedel–Crafts reaction of pyrroles with alkylidene malonates

In the presence of catalytic amount of Cu(OTf)2/trisoxazoline, an enantioselective Friedel–Crafts reaction of N-methyl pyrrole with alkylidene malonates has been developed and up to 66% ee is achieved.
