Comtribution of CTA in the Etiological Diagnosis of Acute SAH Caused by Aneurysm

Objective To analyse the value of CTA in the etiological diagnosis of acute SAH caused by aneurysm.Materials and Methods Thirthy-eight spontaneous SAH patients proved by CT plain scan and lumbar puncture were collected in our study,.CTA was performed at the acute stage (3-10 days after SAH ) and the data was compared with DSA.Results MSCT detected 33 aneurysm in 38 patients.Aneurysm body,aneurysm neck,parent artery and the relationship with surrounding vessels and bone structures were revealed distinctly and precisely on CTA imagings.The sensitivity and specificity of detecting aneurysm was 96.97% and 100%.Conclusion As a simple,noninvasive and reliable technique to display aneurysm,MSCTA can replace DSA in a certain extent and becomes an approach for the first choice in screening of acute SAH patients.
