Mechanical properties and fracture of Ni-P nanocrystalline alloy

摘要
The mechanical properties and photography of fracture surfaces for amorphous Ni-P alloy and nanocrystalline Ni-P alloy was investigated by means of X-ray diffraction, tensile test and SEM. The ribbon of amorphous of Ni 80P 20, prepared by single -roller melt spinning technique under vacuum, to form nanocrystalline alloys. The amorphous Ni-P alloy and nanocrystalline alloy have good mechanical properties. The tensile fracture strength is 1170 MPa and 1270 MPa respectively. Alloy can be bent 180 degrees without fracturing.
