Measurement of ablated thickness of Au plane targets by 0.35 μm high power laser

Measuring ablated parameters of gold target is very difficult. The law of laser ablation on a gold target has been studied. It is the basis of hohlraum physics. A measuring method of the ablated thickness of Au plane target was described. The experimental results show that to measure the ablated thickness used to 0.35μm high power laser is practicable. But the X-ray streak camera can not work and the effort to measure the ablated time has also failed.
