Parathyroid hormone (PTH) is the anabolic standard of care for patients with severe osteoporosis. The CaSR allosteric antagonist JTT-305/MK-5442, a PTH secretagogue, could offer an oral osteoanabolic treatment alternative for postmenopausal women with osteoporosis.
