•We have determined solution structure of Myb domain of AtTRB2.•The Myb domain of AtTRB2 is located in the N-terminal region.•The Myb domain of AtTRB2 binds to plant telomeric DNA without fourth helix.•Helix 2 and 3 of the Myb domain of AtTRB2 are involved in DNA recognition.•AtTRB2 is a novel protein distinguished from other known plant TBP.
