Effect of family structure and TPH2 G-703T on the stability of dysregulation profile throughout adolescence.

•Dysregulation Profile (DP) is highly stable throughout adolescence.•TPH2 G703T moderated the influence of Family Structure on DP during preadolescence.•Early Family Structure is still active during late adolescence in TPH2 G-carriers.•Risk factors should be identified before psychopathology can arise and endure.•A more ‘dynamic’ G×E perspective should be considered in developmental studies.
