摘要

•We created a catalog of 197 characterized natural products with associated biosynthetic genes.•Existing literature is biased towards certain chemical compounds and fungal taxa.•The project involved a close collaboration between undergraduates and natural product experts.•Our collection combined with MIBiG catalogs 165 unique fungal biosynthetic gene clusters.
