Synthesis and luminescence properties of NaLa(MoO 4 ) 2− x AG x :Eu 3+ (AG=SO 4 2 − , BO 3 3 − ) red phosphors for white light emitting diodes

•SO42− doped NaLa(MoO4)2:Eu3+ novel red phosphor were prepared.•BO33− doped NaLa(MoO4)2:Eu3+ novel red phosphor were prepared.•Luminescence property of NaLa(MoO4)2:Eu3+ were improved by SO42− and BO33−.•Luminescence of SO42− and BO33− doped NaLa(MoO4)2:Eu3+ are superior to Y2O3:Eu3+.
