Increased CHO cell fed-batch monoclonal antibody production using the autophagy inhibitor 3-MA or gradually increasing osmolality

•Adaptation of a fed-batch protocol to a CHO-MAb cell line.•Autophagy inhibition doubled fed-batch production.•Gradual increase of osmolality doubled fed-batch production.•Combining autophagy inhibition and osmolality did not increase production.•MAb glycosylation patterns were not substantially changed by these treatments.
