Bilişim Teknolojileri Öğretmen Adaylarının E-Kitap ve Etkileşimli E-Kitap Kavramına İlişkin Metaforik Algıları

Oz Bu arastirmanin amaci bilisim teknolojileri ogretmen adaylarinin e-kitap ve etkilesimli kitaba iliskin algilarini metafor analizi yoluyla incelemektir. Arastirmanin calisma grubunu, 2013-2014 ogretim yili Bahar doneminde Firat Universitesi, Egitim Fakultesi, Bilgisayar ve Ogretim Teknolojileri Egitimi lisans programina devam eden (1., 2. ,3. ve 4. sinif) ogretmen adayi olusturmaktadir. Katilimcilardan “E-kitap …… gibidir. Cunku…..” ve “Etkilesimli e-kitap …… gibidir. Cunku…..” ifadelerini metafor kullanarak doldurmalari istenmistir. Bilisim teknolojileri ogretmen adaylarindan elde edilen bu veriler icerik analizi yontemi kullanilarak incelenmistir. Elde edilen veriler dogrultusunda bilisim teknolojileri ogretmen adaylarinin e-kitaba yonelik gecerli 153, etkilesimli kitaba yonelik gecerli 151 metafor gelistirdikleri gorulmustur. Arastirmanin bulgulari isiginda ogretmen adaylari e-kitaba iliskin olumlu ve olumsuz metaforlar uretirlerken, etkilesimli kitaba yonelik sadece olumlu metaforlar urettikleri ve etkilesimli e-kitap kullanimini daha cazip gordukleri soylenebilir. Salt metin formati disinda sunulan etkilesimli kitaplarin ogrenme surecinde kullaniminin onemi yine bu arastirma sonuclariyla desteklenmistir. Arastirma sonucunda bilisim teknolojileri ogretmen adaylarinin e-kitaba iliskin gelistirdikleri metaforlar arasinda ilk sirayi “kolay tasinabilir” metaforu almaktadir. Bu ozellik e-kitabin avantajlari arasinda sayilmaktadir. Ogrencilerin etkilesimli kitaba yonelik gelistirilen metaforlari arasinda ise ilk sirayi “birden cok duyuya hitap eder” metaforu almistir. Coklu ortam materyalleri ile ogrenme ortaminin desteklenmesinin ogrenciler icin onemi, bu calismada vurgulanmistir. Anahtar Sozcukler: E-kitap, etkilesimli kitap, metafor, bilgisayar ve ogretim teknolojileri egitimi Abstract The purpose of this study is to determine the perception of ICT teacher candidates regarding the concepts of e-book and interactive book through the use of metaphors. The study group consisted of 158 teacher candidates studying at Firat University, Education Faculty, Department of Computer and Instructional Technology Education. In this study, participants were asked to fill the blanks such as “e-book looks like … because …” and “Interactive e-book looks like … because …”. Data collected from ICT teacher candidates were analyzed through content analysis method. Based on the results, we found 153 valid metaphors for e-books and 151 valid metaphors for the interactive books (z-books). Results show that while participants generate both positive and negative metaphors in regard to e-books, there were only positive metaphors generated for interactive books. Participants accepted interactive e-books more attractive than e-books due to its more than only-text feature. Based on the analyses, “transportability” was the most stressed metaphor for e-books while participants uttered the “address of different senses” metaphor most for interactive books. Consequently, the importance of supporting learning environments with interactive books that include multimedia components were emphasized in this study.
