摘要
A computational study of premixed turbulent combustion in a Bunsen type jet flame with a coflow of air is described. The Bray-Moss-Libby (BML) approach to the reaction progress variable is augmented by the computation of mixture fraction and mixture fraction fluctuations. The joint pdf of reaction progress variable and mixture fraction is modeled in terms of two statistically independent probability density functions. The augmented BML model is incorporated in a space marching code. The predictions of mean streamwise velocity, mean temperature and mean scalar quantities are compared with existing experimental data. The present approach predicts the mean axial velocities, mean temperature, and mean major species concentrations within 15 percent of the experimental data. (Author)
