PS14 - 1. Socio-economic Status – Combination of Occupation, Education and Income Level – and Diabetes Risk; the Hoorn Study

Low socio-economic status (SES) is associated with increased risk of type 2 diabetes. Most studies however only include 1 indicator of SES: education, income or occupation. The aim of our study is to evaluate the strength of the association between education, income, occupation or the combination of all 3 SES indicators and diabetes risk in the general population.
