摘要
Nutritional advice that favourably affects cardiovascular risk factors, such as blood pressure (BP), may also have a favourable effect on microvascular complications. Restriction of salt intake is known to reduce BP. We studied the association of urinary sodium excretion, as a marker of salt intake, with the prevalence of microalbuminuria, macroalbuminuria, non-proliferative and proliferative retinopathy in individuals with type 1 diabetes (T1DM).
