This is a case study of a Gynaecological Teaching Associates (GTA) teaching programme with year 3 undergraduate medical students at the University of Birmingham. It explains how the programme started, how the GTAs are recruited, what teaching the students receive, why they receive this teaching and how the students evaluate the teaching. This case study will be a useful resource for those planning on starting a GTA programme for their students.
