Central Nervous System Tumours Mimicking Schwannoma: “Things Are Not Always What They Seem”

摘要
RESULTS: In case 1, MR findings suggested the presence of a trigeminal schwannoma presenting with facial dysesthesia. During surgical procedure a highly vascular lesion was apparent in the right cavernous sinus. Peroperative angiography confirmed this and surgery was aborted because save biopsy was deemed impossible. Retrospectively, angiography would have shown this high vascularity and craniotomy could have been avoided. Urine catecholamine levels led to the probable diagnosis of paraganglioma
