摘要

•Crystals and ceramics CaF2:Tm were obtained.•The spectral-luminescent properties of ceramics and crystals of CaF2:Tm are similar.•The gain band of СаF2:Tm crystal and ceramic samples spans from 1700 to 2000nm.•The diode-pumped 2-μm lasing was obtained in CaF2:Tm ceramics.•For the first time, the diode-pumped CW 2-μm lasing was observed in СаF2:Tm crystal.
