Concepts of Child Care in the Novels of Charles Dickens

This paper challenges child care and youth workers to re-examine the works of Dickens for their commentary on the treatment of children and youth in families, schools and society. The fictional presentation of young peoples' lives by Dickens has relevance to today's practice issues.
