Ecosystem service value analysis of CO 2 management based on land use change of Zoige alpine peat wetland, Tibetan Plateau

•CO2 emissions of the Zoige Wetland were calculated from 1980 to 2005.•Factors influencing CO2 emissions were analyzed with an improved principal component analysis.•CO2 management was estimated as a focal ecosystem service of the Zoige Wetland from 1980 to 2005.•Management recommendations were provided based on the impact of human activities on CO2 emissions.
