Concomitant versus sequential treatment with TACE and sorafenib in HCC patients

Background: A therapeutic strategy based on the concomitant – rather than sequential – administration of transarterial chemoembolization (TACE) and sorafenib for the treatment of patients with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) has gained particular interest in recent years.
