New cyclopentadienylzirconium(IV) complexes of N-phthaloyl amino acids

Cyclopentadienylzirconium(IV) complexes of N-phthaloyl amino acids of general formulae Cp2Zr(L)nCl2−n (n = 1 or 2) and CpZrCl(L)2 (LH = N-phthaloyl derivatives of glycine, α-alanine, β-alanine, phenylalanine, valine and methionine) have been prepared by treating Cp2ZrCl2 with the ligands in the presence of Et3N. The complexes were characterized by elemental analyses, molecular weight and spectral (i.r., 1H and 13C n.m.r.) measurements and plausible structures have been established.
