Depression Treatment Adherence and Preferences Among Older Latinos in A Specialty Geriatric Clinic

Depression affects at least 10% of older primary care patients and negatively impacts quality of life. Literature suggests that Latinos prefer psychotherapy over psychotropic medication; however little is known about preferences of older Latinos with multiple comorbidities and what affects adherence to treatment. The purpose of this project is to explore factors impacting depression treatment adherence of older Latinos with multiple comorbidities in a public sector geriatric clinic.
