Magnetic Phases of EuSe1-xSx with x≤0.3

The 153 Eu NMR and differential susceptibilities of EuSe 1- x S x with 0≤ x ≤0.3 have been measured as a function of temperature. The antiferromagnetic NNSS- type phase of EuSe is stabilized by substituting a small amount of sulfur ( x <0.1). The specimens with x ≥0.2 are ferromagnetic, and those with 0.1≤ x <0.2 are in the region for the coexistence of the NNSS and ferromagnetic phases.
