An Analysis of Response Times in Adaptive Practice of Geography Facts.

Online educational systems can easily measure both answers andresponse times. Student modeling, however, typically focusesonly on correctness of answers. In this work we analyzeresponse times from a widely used system for adaptive practiceof geography facts. Our results show that response times havesimple relationship with the probability of answering correctlythe next question about the same item. We also analyze theoverall speed of students and its relation to several aspectsof studentsu0027 behaviour within the system.
