Inpatient satisfaction and usage patterns of personalized smart bedside station system for patient-centered service at a tertiary university hospital.

•This study assessed patient information needs and their opinions in this study in order to enhance the current SBS system, as well as to provide a variety of health information and entertainment services to patients.•This study involved the use of an inpatient and healthcare provider satisfaction questionnaire, which was derived from the EUCS instrument.•This study showed the applicability of personalized bedside terminal service in a hospital setting.•Study results include current features on using bedside terminal from the analyzed data, and potential improvement requests derived from the survey could enhance further development.
