Experimental study on chirality in Ag-106

High spin states in Ag-106 have been studied using the Mo-100(B-11, 5n)Ag-106 reaction at a beam energy of 60MeV at HI-13 tandem accelerator in China Institute of Atomic Energy. The gamma-gamma coincidences were measured using 15 HPGe detectors with Compton suppressed shield. By analyzing the gamma-gamma coincidence and their DCO ratios, new level scheme of Ag-106 has been presented. 26 new gamma were found compared with previous level scheme. Experimental evidences for chiral doublet bands built on pi g(9/2)circle times vh(11/2) configuration in Ag-106 are briefly discussed. But 2h difference in alignments is too large to interpret as chiral doublet bands.
