Neural and Non-Neural Related Properties in the Spastic Wrist Flexors: an Optimization Study.

•Neural and non-neural related properties of wrist flexors were estimated in the chronic stroke patients.•Compared to controls, the increased resistance was predominantly due to higher elasticity and neural component.•The model can describe the overall resistant behavior of the wrist joint during the passive extension test of spasticity.•The proposed method is suitable for investigating stretch-reflex related parameter in patients with spasticity.
