摘要
As computers become a general tool for reading texts, pictures and other kinds of contents, human-computer interactions in the reading process are worth studying for improving user's reading experience. One issue with reading on computers is that user's hands are often occupied in turning pages, which prevents them from performing certain tasks well. It is possible to free user's hands from physical input devices by designing new input methods. We present a prototype system that uses a camera to monitor user's head, and when the user makes head gestures, the system helps the user turn pages on the currently active document. We evaluate the usability of our system through experiment and questionnaire. Feedback from users indicates that our system is helpful in hand-occupying situations.
