Abstract:

This paper demonstrates a hybrid converter, which, for the first time, combines both the piezoelectric and the electromagnetic mechanisms in a ball-impact structure. The converter can harvest low-frequency vibration energy with an external power and has been proven to work in an environment with the ambient vibration frequency under 10Hz.
