摘要

•A transverse load fiber sensor based on Mach-Zehnder interferometer is proposed.•MZI is formed by a Bowknot-type taper constructing with a PMF core-offset a SMF.•The dip wavelengths in interference patterns are related to the polarization modes.•Sensitivities of 104.52 and −102.94 dB/(N/mm) for fast and slow axis are obtained.
