摘要
This paper proposes an Optical-Radio (OR) relay scheme for urban road intersection safety message propagation under None-line-of-Sight (NLOS) scenario by employing Visible Light communication (VLC) and Radio Frequency (RF) communications. The proposed scheme is combined the radio channel and optical channel, and both the two channels are used for message propagation. If road intersection is equipped the light emitting diodes (LED) traffic lights, the optical channel is available. Thus, vehicle can send its own road condition message or receive the other road condition message of the vehicle which located in the crossed road through direct RF and optical communication. Compared with the pure NLOS multi-path radio communication, the performances have improved.
