A content-based late fusion approach applied to pedestrian detection

•A weighted pedestrian detection fusion based on regression method is proposed.•Spatial consensus and content information are integrated into a pedestrian detection late fusion.•Consensus between detectors can be used to improve detection.•Reduces the number of pedestrian detectors required for a high accuracy fusion.•False positives are reduced through the fusion of multiple pedestrian detectors.
