Experimental Research On Application Of Quantum Key In Video Conference System

Data transmission in the traditional video conferencing system faces certain security risks currently. Therefore, this study proposed an experimental scheme for the application of quantum key in the traditional video conferencing system. According to this scheme, the quantum gateway was seam-lessly embedded into the traditional video conferencing system, based on which the data transmitted through the video conferencing system could be encrypted by the quantum key generated by such quantum gateway. A new quantum key expansion algorithm was put forward because of the relatively low code generation rate of the quantum key of quantum gateway, and the feasibility of the algorithm was verified using the National Institute of Standards and Technology frequency test standard. Quantum keys with different error rates were used to conduct encryption and decryption of three 720p single-screen video images. Moreover, the peak signal-to-noise ratio of the original and decrypted images was calculated. A comparison between these values and theoretical values proved that the quantum key could ensure a normal image quality of the video. This study is of great significance for applying quantum key in the real video conferencing systems and ensuring the security of video data transmission.
