Structure and distribution of the sensilla on the antennae of Tuta absoluta (Lepidoptera: Gelechiidae).

•T. absoluta adult antennae are described under electron microscopy.•Antennae are segmented into a scape, a pedicel and a distal filiform flagellum.•Eight morphological sensilla types were observed for both sexes.•Putative functions are mechano-, (tactile) chemo-, and thermo-hygro-reception.
