摘要

•This study confirmed the feasibility and usefulness of rapid tuberculosis (TB) diagnosis in Madagascar.•Xpert MTB/RIF showed a good performance for all forms of difficult-to-diagnose TB.•HIV prevalence was high in this high-risk population.
