The Adaptation and Psychometric Properties of the Kid-KINDL R for Hospitalized Children in Chile.

•An adapted version of the KINDLR for hospitalized Chilean children is proposed.•The proposed reduced scale maintained the principal dimensions of HRQoL.•The study replicates the relationship between a child with high pain and low HRQoL.•The hospitalization process impacted the children's perceptions of their HRQoL.•Children are a feasible source for the self-assessment of their HRQoL.
