摘要

•Available studies on the prognostic role of the cancer stem-like cell biomarker ALDH1 in ovarian cancer are controversial.•We analyzed 1885 ovarian cancer patients from 13 studies evaluating intratumoral ALDH1 expression and patients' prognosis.•Our meta-analysis showed that ALDH1-positive expression correlate with worse 5-y OS and PFS in ovarian cancer patients.•This correlation appears to be independent of other known clinical prognostic parameters.
