Brain uptake of deltamethrin in rats as a function of plasma protein binding and blood-brain barrier maturation.
NeuroToxicology(2017)
摘要
•High brain levels of pyrethroids result in increased neurotoxicity in immature rats.•Low metabolic inactivation of parent pyrethroids results in elevated brain levels.•Reduced protein binding in immature rats plasma is not sufficient to impact brain uptake.•Brain uptake of DLM from infantile rat or human plasma is comparable to that in adults.•Blood–brain barrier permeability to DLM is inversely related to the age of rats.
