Immunochromatographic test for rapid serological diagnosis of human angiostrongyliasis.

•AcQuickDx is a rapid lateral flow immunochromatographic test for human angiostrongyliasis.•The test device was assembled with purified 31-kDa glycoprotein of Angiostrongylus cantonensis as diagnostic antigen.•The sensitivity and specificity of AcQuickDx Test to detect anti-A. cantonensis specific antibodies were 100% and 98.72%, respectively.•The test yields results that are interpreted visually and possesses a long shelf-life at room temperature.•AcQuickDx Test is easy to perform without additional equipment and can be applied for remote areas where laboratory infrastructure is not available.
