Association between brain atrophy and cognitive motor interference in multiple sclerosis.

•No pathological feature of MS has to date been associated with cognitive motor interference.•Forty-four patients underwent MRI and gait analysis and grey matter atrophy plus Stroop color word test score were found able to predict the cognitive motor interference of gait.•Brain atrophy is a major determinant of cognitive motor interference, although other pathological markers may also contribute.
