A case of intoxication with a mixture of synthetic cannabinoids EAM-2201, AB-PINACA and AB-FUBINACA, and a synthetic cathinone α-PVP

•A sensitive quantification method for cannabinoids and a cathinone was devised.•The quantification range was 10–1000 with LOD of 3–10 pg/ml in blood.•A victim’s blood levels of EAM-2201 and AB-PINACA were 57 and 13 pg/ml.•Tissue levels of EAM-2201, AB-PINACA, AB-FUBINACA were not reported yet.•The victim’s lung levels of them were determined to be 348, 355, and 124 pg/g.
