Set-Membership Conjugate Gradient Channel Estimation For Wireless Sensor Networks

In this paper, a matrix-based conjugate gradient (CG) algorithm is firstly developed which is then incorporated with the set-membership filtering (SMF) framework to improve the performance of complex channel parameters estimation for wireless sensor networks (WSNs). Due to the selective update, the proposed set-membership CG (SM-CG) algorithms can reduce the computational complexity significantly and extend the lifetime of WSNs by reducing its power consumption. Simulation results show good performance of our proposed algorithms in terms of convergence speed, steady state mean square error (MSE) and indicate reduced complexity.
