Inhibition of catecholamine degradation ameliorates while chemical sympathectomy aggravates the severity of acute Friend retrovirus infection in mice
Brain, Behavior, and Immunity(2016)
摘要
•Friend virus (FV) infection caused a transient depletion in splenic noradrenaline.•Expression of catecholamine degrading enzymes was upregulated in splenocytes.•Inhibition of MAO-A and COMT reduced viral load and virus-induced splenomegaly.•Sympathectomy aggravated viral pathology and extended the duration of the disease.
