摘要
Background: The neuroendoscope, with its higher magnification, better observation, and additional illumination, can provide us information that may not be available with the microscope, and is exceedingly useful in aneurysm surgery, especially located in the skull base lesion, for visualizing structures hidden in the dead angle. However, ordinary endoscopy cannot provide real-time assessment of arterial flow, which is essential after clip placement to avoid complications. To overcome this shortcoming, we have introduced a newly-developed technique of intraoperative endoscopic fluorescence video angiography. In this study, we analyzed the roles of this novel technique for aneurysm surgery located in the skull base lesion.
