Congenital Zika syndrome: Time to move from case series to case-control studies and data sharing

We welcome the paper reporting seven cases of congenital Zika syndrome (CZS) with arthrogryposis.1 Mounting evidence that Zika virus infection in early gestation causes brain damage shows that Zika associated arthrogryposis may be neurogenic.
