Facilitating informal learning in nursing

This article highlights the critical importance of facilitating and sustaining informal learning in healthcare settings and discusses how distributed leadership can promote the ongoing collaboration required to enhance the way informal learning is cultivated and existing knowledge and experiences are shared. This article poses a number of challenges to traditional leadership and learning processes and highlights the critical need for more empirical research in this area.
