Support for the Efficacy of Parental Support in Mitigating Psychiatric Co-Morbidities in Adolescents With Gender Dysphoria

Prior studies have indicated a high rate of mental health problems in adolescents with gender dysphoria and transgenderism, which is mitigated by parental and community support. This study compares mental health diagnoses in patients referred for gender dysphoria with patients referred to Adolescent Clinic for other reasons. All patients with gender dysphoria had the support of their parents or guardians.
