Learning in settings with partial feedback and the wavy recency effect of rare events
Cognitive Psychology(2017)
摘要
•Choice behavior following rare events violates common assumptions of recency.•Sensitivity to rare events is wavy: minimal soon and maximal long after they occur.•Response to sequences explains the wavy pattern even when feedback is partial.•Yet, partial feedback also implies other phenomena, and more complex patterns.•A similarity-based model captures both short- and long-term learning behavior.
